PUBLIC SAFETY

As Mayor of Rockwall, I will utilize my vast experience acquired during my 39-year tenure in the military, local, federal, and county public safety to ensure that we continue to have a safe environment within Rockwall to Live, Work, and Play.

  • Improve street lighting and surveillance

    Improve street lighting and surveillance in areas with frequent reports of suspicious activity. Recommend continued utilization of “Flock” to augment police services.

  • Safe Zones

    Implement “Safe Zones” in public areas, such as well-lit and monitored locations where people can seek help if they feel unsafe.

  • Security in shopping and entertainment districts

    Work with businesses to increase security presence in shopping centers and entertainment districts.

  • Road safety improvements

    Invest in road safety improvements, including better signage, clearer lane markings, and improved traffic flow measures.

  • Quarterly public safety meetings

    Coordinate with the Chief of Police to hold quarterly public safety meetings to keep residents informed and encourage input regarding improving security.

  • Infrastructure progress report

    Publish a bi-annual infrastructure progress report to keep the community informed on road and traffic improvements.

  • Fast-track infrastructure development

    Work with county, state, and federal officials to fast-track funding and eliminate unnecessary red tape in infrastructure development.
