As Mayor of Rockwall, I would implement the follow strategies to reduce congestion and improve our roadways ensuring long-term sustainability and enhanced quality of life for both our residents and visitors.

  • Work with TXDOT to alleviate traffic congestion

    Continue working closely with TXDOT to negotiate solutions to help alleviate the traffic congestion for state-owned roadways within Rockwall. This will be brought to fruition in cooperation with our county representatives and our state representatives.

  • Adaptive traffic signals in high-congestion areas

    Request implementation of adaptive traffic signal technology to optimize traffic flow, especially around Lake Ray Hubbard and high-congestion areas.

  • Turn Lanes and Better Synchronized Lights

    Request Introduction of turn lanes, better synchronized lights, and smart intersections to reduce bottlenecks.

  • Comprehensive Traffic Study

    Develop a comprehensive traffic study to pinpoint major congestion points and propose phased road improvements.

  • Ensure New Developments have Infrastructure

    Prioritize road projects based on current and projected growth, ensuring new developments have supporting road infrastructure before approval.
